Good Day Sunshine: MFT's Greatest Hits - Jolinne

It's time for another MFT's Greatest Hits! This month the Creative Team is bringing you Jolinne. To see all the projects, be sure to check out Kim's blog after 11:00am today--she'll have a list of all the goodness for you.

I'm showing you Jolinne - In My Garden today. Can you believe I hadn't inked this cutie up yet? I wanted to give it a fall feel so I went with earthy colors. I'm using Mercy's Sketch #90 for my layout. I stamped Jolinne on a Perfect Paper Panel (temporarily out of stock) with memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored her with Copic markers--her dress is paper pieced. I stamped and colored the potted flowers twice and cut one set out and popped them up for dimension--I like having them hang off of the main image. I added some score lines to the card stock on the left side for a little more interest, and some vintage crumpled seam binding and button to finish it off.

Here's the inside:

As you check out all the Jolinne projects today, keep in mind that Kim's got a little special treat for you: Use the shopping code JOLINNE with your order today and save $5 on any Jolinne set! How fab is that?! So, what're you waiting for? Go get 'em!

MFT's Greatest Hits - Clearly Sentimental

It's time for another My Favorite Things' Greatest Hits! This month we're highlighting the Clearly Sentimental line. I'm using the very first one--and still my favorite--Clearly Sentimental About Emerson.

I wanted to keep this pretty simple to highlight the sentiment, but there's a good bit of texture going on with the felt grass and sun, and the punched out stars. And the main panel is popped up on foam tape to give the stars more dimension. Other MFT products I used are Sweet Tooth card stock, Outdoor Essentials and Veggie Garden Essentials felt, and the Sunshine and Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics dies.

To help you get acquainted with this line (or to add to your collection!), MFT is offering a discount on all Clearly Sentimental sets. The code is CSPROMO. It's good for $5.95 on orders over $30 (the Clearly Sentimental set of you choice must be added to your cart) , so you can get a full sized Clearly Sentimental set for $10 with orders over $30! How cool is THAT!!!?

Thanks so much for stopping by! To see more DT cards using these sets, head on over to Kim's blog at 11:00--she'll have a list of who is participating today.

MFT's Greatest Hits - Amanda Baird

It's time for another MFT's Greatest Hits! This month we're doing Amanda Baird sets. I'm using images from Love At First Sight, which is temporarily out of stock. At 11:00am there'll be a list of the Creative Team members who have projects to share today at Kim's blog, so be sure and hop over there to get the links.

For my card base I'm using paper from Basic Grey's Wags and Whiskers 6 x 6 set with a Fossil Scalloped Note Card and Blue Bayou card stock. I added a Jumbo Scallop Die-namics (also temporarily out of stock) border and some twine and buttons from the Chocolate Kiss collection for a little accent and ran a strip of black twill across the whole thing. I stamped my image on a Cream Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with Copic markers. Then I cut/embossed with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die, trimming the bottom off. Then I matted it with Bayou Blue card stock and popped it up on Pop Dots. I stamped the sentiment on more Cream Perfect Paper Panel and popped it up as well.

Thanks for stopping by! Can't wait to see what the rest of the Creative Team does with these stamps, can you?!

My Flopsey was stamped on a Cream Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with Copic markers, then cut out--his hat was stamped on a white Perfect Paper Panel (temporarily out of stock). U Rock! MFT's Greatest Hits - Fizer

Hey, my peeps! I'm back today with My Favorite Things' Greatest Hits. Last month we did WTG, this month we're doing Stephanie Fizer sets. One of my all-time fave Fizer sets is The Poppies! I love these rockin' girls!!

I decided to go psychedelic today, LOL! I'm using patterned paper from a Prima mat stack called Rock On! I stamped one of the Poppies on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored her with Copic markers and shaded with a Prismacolor pencil. Then I cut it out with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die and matted with a Inverted Circle mat of MFT's Fossil card stock (out of stock right now but keep checking back). The U in the sentiment is from Bling 'Bet and the ROCK is from The Poppies. Some bling and some gold cording finished it off! My layout is TESC112.

Wanna see some more projects with Fizer sets that you might not have seen in a while? There'll be a list of DT members playing along today at 11:00am EDT at Kim's blog, so check 'em out! And, there's a special promotion on Fizer stamps this week: Good only on Thursday and Friday of this week, 15% off Fizer sets, only. The code is FIZER. So what are you waiting for!!!???

MFT's Greatest Hits - Girl's Night Out

The DT decided it would be great fun to have a hop that would introduce new MFT fans to some sets they might not be aware of, or that might have been forgotten about. I chose Girl's Night Out for my set.

In a couple of weeks I'm going to a Victorian Tea Room for luncheon with my Red Hat girls. My visions of that tea room are what inspired this card. I wanted it to be very girlie and elegant. And white. So, after I'd chosen my colors I stamped the image on a Perfect Paper Panel, on the background patterned paper, and the two dress papers. Then I did a little coloring with Copic markers, cut out the girls, paper pieced the dresses, and adhered the girls to the background paper. That saved me the tedious task of paper piecing the background, plus added a little dimension. The white in the patterned paper is not quite white and not quite ivory, so I started looking for something in between. SU!'s Shimmery White card stock was perfect, and the shimmer added to the elegant feel of the card, too. I think the card construction is pretty easy: lots of layers, embossing, and punching. Silk ribbon, silk flowers, and pearls. And wispy leaves punched from patterned paper.

Here's the inside. If you click on it to enlarge it you can see some of the shimmer, I think, and I added more with a Sakura glitter pen on the wine glasses here and on the outside of the card.

If this tea room doesn't live up to my expectations I'm gonna be so bummed, LOL! If that's the case, maybe I'll do a card inspired by the reality ;-) So, do you want to see what the other girls have come up with? Then be at Kim's blog after 11:00am this morning for the link list. I can't *wait* to see what they've done!

Thanks for stopping by today!
