It's time for another Color Throwdown Challenge! Today's colors were chosen by LeAnne and at first glance they really were a challenge, LOL! Tangerine Tango, Brilliant Blue, and Ballet Blue. BUT, as soon as I got this new stamp set, A Kind Word, I knew the first time I colored it that this little girl she was gonna have red hair--she reminds me so much of Raggedy Ann! So, I just went from there with the other colors. I'm using the sketch from a High Hopes challenge. Great sketch!
My base card is Very Vanilla with a layer of Brilliant Blue, both of which had the flap corners rounded. The next layer is Tangerine Tango. The next one is first Very Vanilla on which I used my Martha Stewart eyelet border punch and then Ballet Blue that I ran through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder. The next element is bright blue gingham ribbon (see this, Tammy?!) The focal image was stamped on watercolor paper with Basic Black ink and colored with SU! markers and a blender pen. It's matted with Tangerine Tango and Brilliant Blue, and is up on 3M foam squares. The sentiment was stamped on Very Vanilla with Basic Black, timmed, and one end punched with my Word Window punch. It's also up on foam squares and it's other end is tucked under some Prima flowers anchored with a bright blue brad.
