My Favorite Things Teaser - Day Four

Are you as anxious to see My Favorite Things' new line of stamps as we are to show you? Well, prepare to meet Jolinne! She's super sweet and just a joy to color and work with!!!

Today I'm showing you 'Fairy Sweet Jolinne' and she *is* a sweetie!!! Just look at that adorable little face!!! I stamped the image on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic markers. Another super simple sketch to highlight this super sweet image. I added some buttons and a Mercy flower (LOVE these flowers--so much fun! I only used 7 layers of paper since I knew I was going to add a button to the center) as the only embellishments.

After I stamped and colored the image I wanted to do something special with her wings. So I stamped them again on some iridescent vellum I had in my stash and cut them out.

Then I just glued them onto the colored image. I don't know if you can tell, but the sheen on this vellum looks sorta aqua or pink depending on how the light hits it. Pretty!

And then I attached the whole thing to the card, sorta bending the vellum wings a bit to lift them off the paper and to add more dimension.

Here's the inside of the card. All buttons are from MFT's Spring button collection.

Be sure to stop by Kim's blog today after 11:00am to see who else is peeking these new sets. There are three of them and the others are just as cute as this one! The three Jolinnes--and 10 other sets plus lot of other NEAT stuff will be released tomorrow night at 10:00pm EST at the My Favorite Things store. Be sure to join us for the release party at the SCS Member Company Forum from 8-10pm to see more samples of all the new releases. There's also a Blog Hop starting at 10:00pm, also at Kim's blog, where you'll see all kinds of inspiration. So, don't miss any of it! OK? OK.

Thanks for stopping by today--tomorrow you'll get the last peek before the release so I hope to see you back then!
