OK, down to the challenge. Sharon has challenged us to use purple and green on our cards today. Here it is in Sharon's words:
Feb 12 - ssnotime126 - Purple and Green - Today let's go with a color challenge -- Purple and Green -- ANY shades go -- totally up to you! LOVE this color combo and can't WAIT to see your beautiful creations!!! Just have fun with this gorgeous color combo!!!
Piece of cake for this girl, who hasn't seen a green she doesn't love. OK, maybe one or two, but I do love most greens. And purple ain't bad, so I'm loving this challenge.
My base card is white, with a layer of Ripe Avocado that I stamped with a Polka Dot Basics II stamp and Versamark, then rounded the bottom corners with my Corner Chomper (love that gadget!). Then I added a strip of Lavender Moon from Bitty Box Basics and tied a Ripe Avocado grosgrain ribbon around in a bow, and added a Lavender Moon Vintage button, tied on with Rustic Twine. I stamped the images from In Bloom on PTI white card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic markers. Then I cut them all out and adhered them to another piece of white card stock. And, voila! A purple and green card! I love the CAS but elegant (I think) look.
So, now it's your turn. Come along and play and take us up on the challenge--we'd love to see what you come up with. If you do, be sure to leave the link to your project on Sharon's blog using Mr. Linky. Please use the keyword ssnotime126 if you upload to a public forum. And don't forget to check out Sharon's fabulous sample and also the great designs from the Stamp Simply team and leave 'em some love!
