Oh, Baby! - Let’s make something with baby in mind this week — a shower card, a new baby Congrats!, an altered item, baby’s room decor, a 1st BD card — ANYTHING goes — as long as it’s for BABY!!!!! And if you have no special baby needing a little of your hand crafted love right now, make up a generic baby card to add to your stash!! Can’t WAIT to see all your sweet creations!!!
I get very little call for baby cards, and the only baby stamp set I have is Flourishes' Baby Love. I bought it for that very reason--I didn't have one and I thought I should have at least *one* baby set. I'm glad I did, LOL!
So, I started thinking about this card and this idea grew. I love the little poem sentiment and I thought it would be nice to have it as the focal image.
But it needed more, so then I thought that stamping the rocking chair lightly in the background would work. So, I played around with the idea and this is what I came up with. I'm thinking that stamping the sentiment directly on top of the rocking chair would work well, too.
Here's a close up of the rocking chair:
I think it's sort of what I had in mind, LOL! It shows up better IRL. After I got the two stamped (simply) images done, I added a big fluffy moire' bow and a Prima flower. And I thought the little tag pinned on the bow was a cute touch!
So, now it's your turn. Come along and play and take us up on the challenge--we'd love to see what you come up with. If you do, be sure to leave the link to your project on Sharon's blog using Mr. Linky. Please use the keyword ssnotime125 if you upload to a public forum. And don't forget to check out Sharon's fabulous sample and also the great designs from the Stamp Simply team and leave 'em some love!
