Holy moly, would you look at that prize!? I’d say that is one GRAND prize indeed!!

And, you guessed it—we’re featuring ink pad and refill organization and storage today! The ink pad storage I use is what lots of stampers use—something similar to the Organize More organizer that is part of today’s grand prize. I have four of them, each one bought at a different time and place and each one a little different but pretty much the same overall.

I separate my ink pads by formula: all dye inks in one organizer…

… hybrids in another…

…and pigments in yet another.

As you can see, there is room to store the refills right beside the ink pads so they stay right together. If I have a blending foam pad already used for a color, I’ll store that in the same cubby, as well. I label the end of each ink pad so I can immediately tell what it is, plus I put a small circle of matching card stock on the top of each bottle of ink so they’re all color coded and I know exactly what I’m reaching for.

My ink pad storage is pretty main stream, except for these. I love to have my own spots using MFT inks so I purchase uninked 1” cubes and ink them up with refills. I use them a lot to ink up a small area of a stamp or part of a sentiment. I canNOT bring myself to cutting stamps apart so this gives me the ability to ink up part of it without the butchering ;-) After they’re inked up I label them with the color and a little generic image.

And there you have it! Thanks so much for stopping by today! As always, I hope I’ve given you some useful ideas for organization and storage in your own stamping space.

  3. Hi Barbara, thank you for a glimpse of your room and your ink storage. It looks great.
A tip on storing your foam blender pads, I think I saw this on Jennifer McGuire's blog: Put a small piece of sticky backed Velcro on the bottom of each (large) ink pad and stick the foam pad to it. That way you always have the right pad/colour at hand.
