Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
I decided to go scrappy with this card. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, Added popped up another layer of Sweet Tooth card stock with a strip of Black & White Basics Paper Pack on foam mounting tape for the horizontal element. Next, using Blueprints 24 Die-namics, I cut Dots & Stripes Bright Paper Pack and popped it up on foam, as well. Using another die from the same Blueprints set, I cut the fishtail flag element from more Sweet Tooth card stock and spread molding paste through English Brick Wall Stencil for some interest and dimension. I added the tap element, cut from Black Licorice card stock and cut with Blueprints 29 Die-namics and popped them both up on foam mounting tape.
The sentiment is from You Give Me Butterflies and was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock then heat embossed with white detail embossing powder and also popped up on foam. I stamped the butterfly from Beautiful Butterflies with Black Licorice dye ink and then Orange Fizz dye ink, cut it out with the coordinating die, and adhered it with more foam tape.
And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!
