Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
I decided to create another beach-y scene for this sketch. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then did a watercolor wash on some Ranger Watercolor Paper with Peerless Watercolors for the sky. The horizontal element was done the same way, but I sketched out the sea and sand for it and added some foam and whitecaps with Copic Opaque White.
Then I stamped the images from BB Penguins in Paradise on X-Press It Blending Card with Black Licorice hybrid ink, colored them with Copic markers, and popped them up on foam mounting tape in the scene. I’m using the top of the palm tree as my out of the box circle element. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock cut with Blueprints 13 Die-namics and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder and adhered under the edge of the sand. I finished off with a Sunshine card stock sun cut with Blueprints 21 Die-namics and Puffy Clouds Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock.
And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!
Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!
