Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
As is my habit when I sat down to work on this card, I studied the sketch and then went looking at stamps and dies to see what would work. Using a good deal of creative license, LOL, I thought the waves and sand would work for the horizontal elements at the bottom of this sketch so that’s what I did. I used Ocean Waves Die-namics and Summer Splash and Kraft card stock for this part. But before I adhered them, I sponged the sky with Lemon Chiffon and Blue Breeze dye inks on Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock and adhered it directly to a Sweet Tooth card stock base.
I added a Lemon Chiffon card stock sun, cut with Stitched Circle STAX and some Puffy Clouds Die-namics along with a couple of smaller clouds from Spring Scene Builder Die-namics. I stamped the sentiment on the Kraft layer and added a seagull, stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink on No Line Coloring card stock and colored with Copic markers. Foam tape was used for dimension.
And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!
Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!
