Hello everyone! Today I created a card using Cross-Stitch Rectangle Die-namics using this adorable fish pattern. I’m stitching on Summer Splash card stock and I used these DMC embroidery floss colors: 871, 972, 310, 648, and blanc. I chose Summer Splash card stock because that eliminated the need to stitch the background. I actually like seeing the holes—I think it adds texture and dimension. Once I had everything stitched with 6 strands of floss, I outlined everything with 2 strands of floss—I think it gives cross-stitch work a finished look.
To complete my card, I covered a Sweet Tooth card stock base with Fun & Frolic Paper Pack and popped the stitched panel up on foam tape. I added some Fab Foliage Die-namics cut from Sour Apple, Gumdrop Green, and Jellybean Green card stock and finished off with the sentiment from BB Gill Friends Stamp Set heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips.
