Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week my girl Broni is our hostess and she has a gorgeous color combo for us based on her also gorgeous inspiration piece.
When I saw these colors I immediately thought of the night—or early evening—sky so that’s where I went.
I started by sponging my background using Boysenberry and Blue Yonder Premium Dye Inks. Once that dried, I splattered it with some slightly watered-down Copic Opaque White. While THAT was drying I did some die cutting using Shining Stars Die-namics and Silver Sparkle and Gold Sparkle card stocks to coordinate with the Kraft and gray card stocks I used.
Once dry, I added strips of Kraft and Cement Gray card stock down each side and adhered the sponged panel up on foam tape. The sentiment is from Written in the Stars Stamp Set and was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock and adhered to the card front. I cut “Stars” from Silver Sparkle card stock and twice from scraps of white card stock, adhered them together and then to the card front. I finished off with die cut stars.
