Cheers–My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #427

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

As I am wont to do, I started looking through my Die-namics to see what I could use for that balloon shape in the sketch. As soon as I laid eyes on Wine Glass Shaker Window & Frame I knew it had to be. The background was done using English Brick Wall Stencil and molding paste on Sweet Tooth card stock. Once that dried, I inked over it with Tangy Orange dye ink and Red hot dye ink. I really miss Brick Red ink for this kind of thing :( That was popped up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base and I added a strip of Birch Wood Adhesive Backed Sheet after stamping the sentiment from Good Time to Wine Stamp Set with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink. I figured it would bleed less than a dye ink and I think it did OK.

I wanted it to look like a glass was sitting on a table or bar with a brick wall behind it so when I constructed the glass shaker, and since I was out of Wind Glass Pouches, I adhered clear acetate card stock on the front and again on the back after the shaker element was filled with 4mm Lemon Meringue sequins and Gold Shimmer seed beads. The glass was cut from Silver Sparkle card stock and Cheers Die-namics was cut from Gold Sparkle card stock and adhered across the glass. I added some silver and gold glitter enamel dots for the finish.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!
