Hello, there, and welcome to another Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Wanda has a sweet color combo based on her equally sweet inspiration piece
I thought these colors would be perfect for a sympathy card—unfortunately we need these all too often so it’s good to keep a couple on hand. I started by stamping Flower Silhouettes Stamp Set using Grape Jelly dye ink (I didn’t have the exact challenge color but this will do) and Gumdrop Green Dye ink, then added the sentiment from Deepest Sympathy Stamp Set stamped with Cement Gray dye ink and cut it out with A2 Rectangle STAX Set 2.
I matted this with Grape Jelly card stock cut with A2 Rectangle STAX Set 1, tied around some gray baker’s twine, and popped it up on a Cement Gray card stock base with foam tape.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD580 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd580 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!
