Thanks for Keeping Me Afloat - Color Throwdown #646

 

Hey there, it's time for a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Lisa has a gorgeous color combo for us to play with and we hope you'll join us.

As I looked as these colors, one scene kept popping into my mind: moonlight on the sea. Since I couldn't get it out of my mind, I just gave in and went with it :)

To begin, I stamped the boats from You Keep Me Afloat Stamp Set with Extreme Black hybrid ink on No Line Coloring card stock, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers. Next, using Oval Extraordinaire Stencil and using Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks, I created the background. The moon and islands were cut with Beach Scene Builder Die-namics and adhered directly.

Slightly watered down white craft paint was spattered for the stars, the sentiment was stamped with Black Licorice dye ink, and the card front was then adhered to a Sweet Tooth card stock base. To finish, the three boats were popped up on foam tape.
