Since Southern Magnolias are white, I went with a really soft gray Peerless watercolor for the petals and golden yellow for the center and a small waterbrush and set it aside to dry. Meanwhile, I sponged Broken China Distress Ink on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper and adhered some curled up gold cord off center.
That panel was matted with Black Licorice card stock and adhered to a Candied Yam card stock base with foam tape. Next I adhered the watercolored image with foam tape and the sentiment, heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Fishtail Foundations Die-namics. To finish off, I added a few glitter enamel dots and called it done!
