Two Days Until Magnolia Blossoms, MFT's June Card Kit, is Released!

Hello and welcome to Day Two Countdown of MFT's June Card Kit, Magnolia Blossoms. Release is in two days, June 15th, at 10am Eastern so make a note. And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details.

The Magnolia Blossoms Card Kit includes the following products:
Magnolia Blossoms Clear Stamp Set
Magnolia Blossoms Die-namics
5 Sheets of Watercolor Paper
1 Extreme Black Ink Cube

Since Southern Magnolias are white, I went with a really soft gray Peerless watercolor for the petals and golden yellow for the center and a small waterbrush and set it aside to dry. Meanwhile, I sponged Broken China Distress Ink on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper and adhered some curled up gold cord off center.

That panel was matted with Black Licorice card stock and adhered to a Candied Yam card stock base with foam tape. Next I adhered the watercolored image with foam tape and the sentiment, heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Fishtail Foundations Die-namics. To finish off, I added a few glitter enamel dots and called it done!

And that's it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by--see you back tomorrow for Day One of MFT's June Card Kit, Magnolia Blossoms.

  1. Lovely card. It is always difficult to color a "white" flower, but yours is beautiful.
