Happy New Year!! - Color Throwdown Challenge #674

 

Hello and welcome to the first Color Throwdown Challenge of 2022!! Hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas and New Year and you're ready to get back to your crafting space for this super fun and festive color combo from Team Member Amy Rohl this week!

I was totally inspired for this card by a piece of art I saw and tried my best to translate it to paper--I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out :)

To begin, I stamped City Block Background on Black Licorice card stock and heat embossed it with white detail embossing powder and trimmed it down to the size I wanted. Next, on more Black Licorice card stock, I heat embossed Fireworks Stamp Set with BOTH silver and gold embossing powders then spattered with white craft paint for the stars.

The City Block element was adhered directly to the Fireworks element then both were popped up on foam tape onto a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Using Impact Numbers Die-namics, I cut 2022 from Gold Sparkle card stock and popped them up on the card front with foam tape. To finish off, the sentiment, from Itty Bitty Holiday Stamp Set, was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Itty Bitty Strips Die-namics and also popped up on foam tape. Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!
