Eat dessert first!!

Edited to add: I forgot to say this was for TECC #54! Yikes! Sorry for the ommission!

I love this little Fluffles stamp. When I needed a birthday card for a very good male friend, I thought of it. He'll like it :)

My base card is Very Vanilla with layers of three DP from Basic Grey's Granola 6 x 6 pad. I'm not usually really fond of cards I make for men--I think I try too hard to keep them masculine looking and they lack spark and look too cold because of it. But this one I like a lot! I think it may have to do with the paper--that gold in the pattern warms it up. Whatever it is, I like the way it turned out. The vertical element is more of the DP, just a different pattern. The focal image was stamped on watercolor paper with Basic Brown ink and colored with SU! markers and a blender pen for the most part. I did use an aqua pen for the gray on Fluffles. I tried with the blender pen but the paper kept pilling for some reason. This is the only color that's happened with for me. The focal image was matted on two DP after having the corners punched with my Ticket Corner punch. The sentiment was stamped on watercolor paper with Basic Brown with a sentiment from MFT's Sassy Sayings set. It's normally not stacked like that, but I wanted to follow the sketch with a round element there, so I inked up the words one at a time. I went around the edge with my Bordering Blue marker after cutting it out with a circle Nestabilities die. The mat cut/embossed with a larger die from DP and it's up on 3M foam squares. A few gold Dew Drops finish it off.

Thanks for dropping by! Feel free to leave me a comment and let me know how I'm doing.
