Give it a Twirl

[In case you missed it, there's blog candy here!]

This was me yesterday, LOL, all a-twirl. I'm still not quite back down to earth
;-) Thanks again for all the sweet comments!!!

This set is from My Favorite Things' latest release and is called Dance the Night Away. Cosmo Girl is tres sophisticated (LOL), so I wanted my card to be very elegant, too. First of all, I stamped the image on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored it with Copic markers and paper pieced her dress. The paper I used was from a K & Co. mat pad called "Roam". One of the DP in this collection has this lacy design and I thought it looked exactly like a lace overlay for a very fancy party dress. I love how that turned out! I added some jewels around the dropped waist and for her matching earring. I also decided that embellishments for this card needed to be big, so I added wide lace and wide ribbon. The big gold and pearl bauble was a button in another life--I just cut the loop off and attached it on top of the ribbon, and I finished it all off with some flat backed pearls on the punched out edges. Oo-la-la!

Here's the inside:

Thanks for stopping by today!

  2. This is beautiful. I love the stamp set and what you did with it. Did you cut her out or just the skirt. I missed that. I am getting ready to leave for work so I read fast but it is just beautiful and I had to let you know.
