It’s time for a new Flourishes release and if you’ve seen what’s been showing up on the Flourishes blog already this week you know you’re in for a treat! First the FLIP program, and yesterday Wild For Watermelon, today we have a gorgeous new set by Marcella Hawley called Hollyhocks. Another in her simply fabulous line of botanical images.
I love to use these larger images for the spotlighting technique, so that’s what I did with my card today.
First of all, I stamped the image on Classic White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then I stamped the part I intended to spotlight again, colored it with the Lenten Rose Collection and Evergreen Collection Copic markers, and cut it out with a Standard Circle Nestabilities die and my Grand Calibur machine. The main image was cut with my Curved Rectangle Nestabilities.
I used a simple layout and jazzed it up a bit with some bling, ribbon, and some gorgeous paper. I love the contrasts: the spotlighting for sure, and the bling and gingham.
Since there’s no sentiment on the outside, I stamped the image off to the side and added it on the inside. Sweet.

Is there some type of software (McAfee, Norton, Symantec, etc.) that you can buy to get rid of the Sheur2 trojan once and for all? As in it won't reinstall itself after you reboot the computer...
