Hi, everyone, are you ready??!! A-maze-ing Card Kit is now available for purchase in the MFT Boutique! You’ve seen some a-maze-ing samples over the last couple of days from the design team and that’s just the tip of the creative iceberg—so many things you can do with this kit. Be sure to check by the MFT Blog for more info and more samples, then go snag yours! Remember, we now have a new free with $60 die available for our customers with every kit release. It will be the free die (while supplies last) for the duration of the month until the next release. The mid-month free with $60 die is Happy Greetings Die-namics.

So. I had this wild idea for this card and I hope it translates the way I want it to. The premise of my design is that the birdie is on a limb in the foreground and he’s leaving there and going across the valley to the trees in the distance. The maze is his metaphorical journey. Did it work? Sounded good in my head, LOL! At any rate, I’ll tell you how I did it.

I applied a watercolor wash with
Peerless Watercolors on Ranger Watercolor paper and adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base when it was dry. I stamped the maze with Black Licorice hybrid ink and the trail with Wild Cherry hybrid ink, then the sentiment. I added Stitched Valley Die-namics, cut from Sour Apple card stock and Jellybean Green card stock, Trees in the Forest Die-namics, using the same greens and Latte card stock for the trunks.

The bird is from Springtime Critters, stamped on X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copic markers and fussy cut out, along with the limb, from Harvest Buddies done the same way. I added a Sunshine card stock sun cut with Blueprints 21 Die-namics and clouds cut from Sweet Tooth card stock with Spring Scene Builder Die-namics.

That’s it from me for the
A-maze-ing Card Kit Release! It is now available in the MFT online store so go get yours!!! You’ll be glad you did :) Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!
