Spread Your Wings - C4C #129

C4C129_2012mar24

Happy Saturday! Since it *is* Saturday, that means it’s time for Crazy 4 Challenges! Frances continues as our host this week and since today is her birthday (Happy Birthday, Frances!!!), she wants us to use one of her favorite things on our card or project: OWLS! In case you hadn’t noticed, Frances LOVES owls, LOL! If you don’t have owls use some other kind of bird…and that’s what I did.

I’m using MFT’s Inspired by Birds and decided to distress this card up, too. First of all, I did my layout and decided where I wanted everything. Then I stamped the single bird image from the set, colored it with Copic markers, and fussy-cut it out. Before I popped it up on foam, I shaped the wings to make it look more like a bird in flight and give it more dimension—like this:

Here’s a close up of the focal element:

And here’s the bird again, along with another sentiment from the set. Fabulous sentiment, don’t you think?

And that's all for me for me! Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has for you!

THEN, you know what to do--we'd love to have you come along and play with us. Just do your thing with the challenge and link it to Mr. Linky on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Please link directly to your project. And, if you upload to a public gallery, please use the key word C4C129.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
