Have you been enjoying the new Flourishes release sets? Oh, so gorgeous, right? Today we’re showing you Magnolias—a simply stunning set by Marcella Hawley.
I’m also using this month’s 1, 2, 3 Create Kit again.
I know this species of magnolia isn’t pink and I usually try to use natural colors on my images, but since I wanted to use this fabulous kit again, I hope I’ll be allowed some artistic license ;-)
I stamped the image on Classic White card stock with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored it with these Copic collections:
Evergreen Collection:
Lenten Rose Collection:
Then I cut it out with a Classic Oval Nestabilities die and popped it up on some foam dots on top of the ruffled ribbon/brown ribbon element that I made with kit contents. For the ribbon, I tied several bows on top of each other to get some fullness and then added the stickpins—which were clear until I colored them with a Copic marker :) I finished it up with the sentiment also cut out with a Classic Oval die. All edges were sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink
And that’s it! Now, be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has for you today...
