MFT April Creative Construction With Blueprints–Sweet Scallops

Hi, everyone, it’s time for another Creative Construction With Blueprints Challenge. This month we’re featuring scallops. Dainty rows of scallops add such a soft, feminine touch to your cards. Whether you use them to create a decorative border or layered among other panels and elements, that delicate bit of gently curved shaping will add beautiful interest to your projects. Featured Blueprints include 4, 6, 8, 9, 14, & 22.
MFT_CreativeConstruction_SqI chose to use Blueprints 8 Die-namics and Blueprints 14 Die-namics for my card today. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, on which I spread white embossing paste through On the Diagonal Stencil and allowed it to dry. Next, on a piece of Ranger watercolor paper and with a small water brush and Tiny Triangles Stencil, I created a background using Berrylicious dye ink, Sour Apple dye ink, Daffodil dye ink, and Orange Zest dye ink in a blended rainbow pattern. I cut it out with a die from Blueprints 8 Die-namics and adhered it to the base. Next I added a Sweet Tooth scallop cut with Blueprints 14 Die-namics. In my stash i found some Sweet Tooth card stock stamped with Typewriter Text Background and Steel Gray dye ink, cut it out and popped it up. I added a flower, cut from Blueprints 14 Die-namics and Daffodil card stock, the leaves from Sour Apple card stock, and the button from Orange Zest card stock. The sentiment is from Totally Happy and was stamped with Sweet Tooth pigment ink on a strip of Steel Gray card stock cut with Blueprints 8 Die-namics, heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder and popped up on foam. I added a Happy Trio Die-namics cut from Berrylicious card stock and adhered with a Quickie Glue Pen. Some enamel dots and baker’s twine finish it off.

Another sentiment from Totally Happy was stamped on the inside.

That’s it for me today—thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!
