Just a Note - C4C #283

Happy Saturday, everyone! Hope you’ve got a fun weekend planned and I’m here to kick it off with this card using this set from MFT’s April release, MSTN Tweet On You. Lynn has challenged us to use a bird on our card or project today and what better than this darling little blue bird?

I started with a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 110lb card stock and lightly stenciled Berrylicious dye ink through MPD Scallops Stencil. I figured the tree coloring would cover it up and I was right. I then stamped my tree, bird, and sentiment, which is from You’ve Got Mail, with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and colored the images with Copic markers. I popped that up on a Grout Gray card stock base with foam mounting tape and completed my scene as follows: the sun was cut from Daffodil card stock with Blueprints 21 Die-namics, the clouds from Sweet Tooth card stock with Cloud Trio Die-namics, the grass from Sour Apple card stock with Grassy Edges Die-namics, and the fence from Sweet Tooth card stock with Garden Fence Die-namics. I finished off with a few music notes from MSTN Tweet On You.

Another sentiment from the set was stamped on the inside.

And that's it! Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has for you, including our April Guest Designer, Vicki Burdick!

THEN, you know what to do--we'd love to have you come along and play with us. Just do your thing with the challenge and link it to Mr. Linky on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Please link directly to your project. And, if you upload to a public gallery, please use the key word C4C283.

Thanks so much for stopping by today—see you soon!

  1. This is such a sweet scene you've created using this little blue bird! I really like the soft texture of the stenciling on your background.

  2. What a sweet card, love the subtle use of the mask in the background and how you layered the clouds.

  3. Love your card for the challenge ... so sweet!

Thank you for your kind comments--they make my day and I appreciate every one!
