Hi, there, and welcome to the first day of MFT’s April Release Countdown! We have another FUN release for you starting with today’s preview: Blueprints 24 Die-namics, LJD You're the Sweetest, LJD You're the Sweetest Die-namics, LJD Sweet Treats Die-namics, Simply Circles Background, and Weave Stencil. Be sure to check by the MFT Blog for all the details and mark your calendars: release is on April 7th at 10pm.
I have a couple of sweet cards for you today, using most of these products. My first card starts with an In the Buff card stock base. Next up is a Sweet Tooth card stock layer cut with a die from Blueprints 24 Die-namics and stenciled with Weave Stencil and white embossing paste, popped up on foam mounting tape. Next is a couple of strips of background paper—Sweet Tooth card stock stamped with Striped Backgrounds (previously released set) and Black Licorice dye ink, and Ranger Watercolor Paper stamped with Simply Circles Background with Versamark and heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder. After I embossed, and using a small water brush, I applied Orange Zest dye ink, Daffodil dye ink, Limeade dye ink, and Cotton Candy dye ink to the insides of the circles. To give added definition, I used a fine point black marker and colored in the areas in between the circles. I popped those two strips up on foam and added a Stitched Traditional Tag STAX Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and dry embossed with another new stencil, Tiny Triangles Stencil. I cut the cone and scoops of ice cream from Sweet Tooth card stock and LJD You’re the Sweetest Die-namics and stamped them with the background paper colors using the coordinating stamps from LJD You’re the Sweetest. The sentiment was stamped with Sweet Tooth pigment ink on Black Licorice card stock cut with a die from Blueprints 24 Die-namics, and heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder. I added some black twine to the tag and it was done.
On the INSIDE, I stamped another cone and sentiment from the set.
*****
My second card uses LJD Sweet Treats Die-namics.
I started this card with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Next, on a panel of Ranger Watercolor Paper and with a small water brush, I stenciled in some color with Weave Stencil and Chocolate Brown dye ink, Wild Cherry dye ink, Grout Gray dye ink, and In the Buff dye ink. Next is a piece of Grout Gray card stock, partially stamped with Simply Circles Background and Grout Gray dye ink, tied with red twine and popped up on foam mounting tape. I cut the ice cream cone from In the Buff card stock, the “vanilla” ice cream from Primitive Cream card stock, the fudge from Chocolate Brown card stock, the cherry from Wild Cherry card stock, and the stem from more Chocolate Brown card stock. I popped that up on foam, added some enamel dots, and it was done.
On the INSIDE, I stamped another sentiment and another cherry.
And that’s it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you back tomorrow for Day Four!
