Hey, there! It’s Wednesday noon so it must be time for this week’s MFTWSC! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
My card started with a Grout Gray card stock base, onto which I stamped On the Diagonal Background with Grout Gray ink. For the square element, instead of adding bulk with more card stock, I used MPD Scallops Stencil and spread some embossing paste. I love how it adds so much texture and dimension without added bulk. Next I added a Dizzy Doily Duo Die-namics, cut from Steel Gray card stock and a couple of Fishtail Flags STAX die-namics flags: Striped Backgrounds stamped with Steel Gray ink and Wood Plank Background stamped with Grout Gray ink, both on Sweet Tooth card stock. Next I added some Pretty Posies Die-namics flowers cut from Insulation Pink card stock, Grapesicle card stock, and Pink Lemonade card stock, all with hemp cord tied Sweet Tooth button centers. The leaves were cut from Sour Apple card stock with Layered Leaves Die-namics. I put down some white thread to ground the flowers and finished off with some enamel dots. The sentiment is from LJD Peaceful Wildflowers and was stamped with Steel Gray ink.
Another sentiment from LJD Peaceful Wildflowers was stamped on the inside.
And that’s pretty much it! Thanks so much for stopping by—hope to see you playing the challenge this week!
