Happy Birthday–CTD #301

CTD301_2014jul16

Hey, there, and welcome to this week’s Color Throwdown challenge! Wanda has chosen this gorgeous color palette for us to work with, based on a cozy inspiration piece.

swatch 301

I went really simple with my card today, using a Kraft card stock base, a Sweet Tooth panel embossed with Modern Moroccan Die-namics, and a color band using Calypso Coral, Sno Cone card stock, and Smoky Shadow. From Steel Gray card stock I cut the Happy Die-namics, popped it up on foam, and stamped the sentiment, from LLD Delicious Birthday, with Steel Gray ink. A few enamel dots finished it off.

Another sentiment from LLD Delicious Birthday was stamped on the inside.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the
Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD301 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our awesome July guest designer, Diane Jaquay!

  4. Awesome masculine look on this one... the stripes almost make it look collegiate! (oooh, big word for me, right?!?!)
