Hey, there! It’s time for another Color Throwdown Challenge and this week Miss Broni has a great color combo for us based on a yummy looking inspiration piece :)
My card started with a Kraft card stock base. Next I added a layer of Berrylicious card stock stamped with DC Large Scale Backgrounds and Sweet Tooth pigment ink. Next up is a layer of Sweet Tooth card stock stamped with Star Background and Red Hot ink, popped up on foam, with a strip of silver glitter paper added for an accent. I created my focal panel by cutting Centerpieces You Mean the World to Me Die-namics from Berrylicious card stock, then adhered Sour Apple card stock on which I’d stamped Linen Background with Gumball Green ink. I substituted Red Hot card stock for the YOU, then tied some hemp cord around. I popped it up on foam and added a Sun, Moon, & Stars Die-namics star cut from silver glitter paper and a hemp cord tied Red Hot button.
For the inside, I die cut Centerpieces You Mean the World to Me Die-namics from scrap paper and used it as a stencil to sponge on some Sour Apple ink, then over stamped the sentiment, from PI Will You Be Mine? with Steel Gray ink.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD303 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our awesome July guest designer, Diane Jaquay!
