I Treasure You–CTD #389

Hi, everyone, it’s time for another Color Throwdown Challenge! The lovely Vickie is our hostess this week and her colors are based on this adorable image.

Of course my first thought was flowers but that was too easy, LOL! So I tried to think outside the box and decided that since these were jewel tones to go with jewels!

I started with a
Sweet Tooth card stock base and added a piece of Black Licorice card stock on a wonky angle. Next I stamped Distressed Patterns on another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock and adhered it on foam mounting tape, also at a wonky angle. Next I cut Diamonds Die-namics from Ranger Watercolor paper, colored them with Peerless Watercolors, and added the overlay, cut from Gold Shine card stock, then popped them up on foam along with some gold silk thread

The sentiment was stamped with Delicata Gold pigment ink on Black Licorice card stock and heat embossed with gold detail embossing powder and also popped up on foam.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the
Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD389 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd389 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented April Guest Designer, Amy Rohl!
