Hi, everyone, it’s time for a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Lori has challenged us to some Spring-y colors based on her adorable inspiration piece.
Since it’s April, and we have a Spring-y color palette this week, it got me thinking about April showers and next thing I know I’m thinking unbrellas! I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, added a strip of Painted Prints Smitten Paper Pack down the right side, then added some raindrops on Cement Gray card stock using Raindrops Stencil and translucent embossing paste. I stamped the sentiment, from Blue Skies Ahead, with Gravel Gray dye ink and popped it up on the base with foam mounting tape.
Next I cut out four LJD All Heart Die-namics from X-Press It Blending card, stamped the coordinating images from LJD All Heart with Black Licorice hybrid ink, and trimmed the hearts off each side. I colored them with Copic markers and popped them up on foam, then finished off with a few enamel dots.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD387 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd387 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented April Guest Designer, Amy Rohl!

Fabulous raindrops That highlight the beautifully colored umbrella ready for April showers!
Oh my word, Bar, those raindrops are fabulous! I must get some translucent paste!ReplyDelete
Such an incredible card! You always inspire me. I didn't even know there was such a thing as transparent paste but I sure do love the way you've used it. Your colorful umbrellas really pop against the soft gray background.ReplyDelete
Love the textured raindrops (I had totally forgotten about my translucent paste...love the look!).ReplyDelete
