Hi, all, I'm back with this week's MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s color combo: Lemon Chiffon, Blue Yonder, Gravel Gray, and Black Licorice. All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
This is such a sweet color palette I decided to go with a tweet set and dies. I’m using Tweet Friends and Tweet Friends Die-namics and Mini Modern Blooms and Mini Modern Blooms Die-namics, along with Contemporary Cages Die-namics for my card. The birdies were stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink, cut with the dies, colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a Uni-Ball White Gel Pen. The flowers and leaves were stamped with Lemon Chiffon dye ink, Blue Yonder dye ink, Cement Gray dye ink, and Black Licorice hybrid ink.
I did a little air brushing for the background of the card front, stamped the sentiment, and popped it up on foam mounting tape on a Sweet Tooth card stock base with a strip of On-Point Patterns Paper Pack running down the left side. Then I popped up Contemporary Cages Die-namics, cut from Gravel Gray card stock, tied some baker’s twine through the hanging loop, adhered the flowers and birds, and finished off with some Sparkling Clear Mix Sequins.
And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!
Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!
