Hi, everyone, welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Amy Rysavy is our hostess and she has chosen a fun palette based on this luscious inspiration piece.
Obviously, I was inspired by the piece as well as the colors, as I chose to work with LLD Sweet Succulents and LLD Sweet Succulents Die-namics. I stamped the images with Black Licorice hybrid ink on X-Press It Blending Card, cut them out with the coordinating dies, colored them with Copic markers, and set them aside.
On Grout Gray card stock, I spread molding paste through English Brick Wall Stencil, allowed it to dry, put my stencil back, and sponged the bricks with Latte dye ink. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of a Sweet Tooth card stock base, popped the card front up on foam mounting tape, and adhered the succulents, also with foam tape.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD431 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd431 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented February Guest Designer, Donna Mikasa!
