Hello and welcome to Day Five of MFT’s February Release Countdown!!! FYI, release is on February 7th at 9pm, EST. Be sure to check out all the details at the MFT Blog. Today we’re previewing Lots of Hugs, Twice the Hugs Die-namics, Friends Furever, Friends Furever Die-namics, Friend Die-namics - Previous Free with $60, Roses All Over Paper Pack, and Premium Dye Ink Cubes – Sets 5, 19, and 20.
Both of my cards are CAS and I’ll walk you through how I made them. For my first one, I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and added a piece of Roses All Over Paper Pack across the bottom. Next I sponged some Sweet Tooth card stock with, top to bottom, Coral Crush dye ink, Orange Fizz dye ink, and Persimmon dye ink and cut Twice the Hugs Die-namics from it. I adhered a couple more copies cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock panel for the front—on which I stamped the sentiment from Lots of Hugs, then popped the whole thing up on foam on the base.
Next I stamped the two birdies from Friends Furever on X-Press It Blending Card with Black Licorice hybrid ink, colored them with Copic markers, and popped them up, as well. To finish off I added some enamel dots.
*****
My second card uses Friends Furever, too.
I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, stamped the sentiment, and added a strip of Hearts & Stripes Paper Pack. On a panel of Smooth White card stock, I sponged a background using Sour Apple dye ink and Blue Breeze dye ink, tied around some baker’s twine, and popped it up on the base with foam mounting tape.
I stamped the image from Friends Furever with Black Licorice hybrid ink, cut it out with the coordinating Friends Furever Die-namics, colored it with Copic markers, and popped it up as well.
And that’s it for Day Five of MFT’s February Release Countdown! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you back tomorrow for Day Four!
