I’m using a couple of new sets for my project: PI – Turkey Time and Thankful Leaves and its companion dies, Die-namics Fall Leaves. I’m also using more new dies: Die-namics Sunflower, Die-namics Fishtail Flags Layers STAX, and Die-namics Framing Flourishes.
I decided to make a Thanksgiving dinner set. We’re asking some friends over for dinner, so this was a perfect opportunity to make a cute invitation card and accessories. And, another chance to use Thankful Leaves :)
OK, first up is the card. I stamped the little PI and colored most of the image with Copic markers.
Except for her paper pieced dress and the “silver” platter, on which I used a silver metallic pen.
I also couldn’t resist making another Die-namics Sunflower for this card. LOVE all the detail on this flower! The leaves were made with my Die-namics Royal Leaves.
And here’s the inside, with the actual invitation. I’ll write a little note with the specifics when I get ready to send it.
I thought it would be cute to have a menu posted. So, I printed it out and mounted it on some card stock and patterned paper. Then I cut and stamped some leaves, using the rock and roll technique, and tied on a Hot Fudge button with hemp cord before adhering them to the menu.
Here’s a close up of the leaves on the menu.
I also wanted to have favors for everyone, so I came up with this super easy idea. I have these little mini lunch sacks that will be filled with a portion of the guest’s dessert of choice when they leave. I made a sentiment flag with both my Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX and the new Die-namics Fishtail Flags Layers STAX, new this month. We’ve been needing these layer dies so now we’re all set. I stamped the sentiment on Whip Cream card stock and added a leaf trio.
Here’s a close up of the leaves…
…and one of the sentiment flag. Fishtail flag layers. Be. Still. My. Heart.
There are only going to be four or five of us, but I thought a place card would be a nice touch. I stamped the name on a Die-namics Designer Labels 3 STAX die cut using my Wendy Alphabet set, added a new Die-namics Framing Flourishes die cut across the bottom and another leaf at the top.
And, last, but not least, a matching napkin ring. I cut a strip of Kraft card stock and joined it into a circle, then covered it with Tangy Orange card stock, patterned paper, and finally, a strip of Tangy Orange ribbon. To finish it off, I added another leaf cluster.
Here are the Die-namics dies I used on this project:
