It’s time!! MFT’s July Release is NOW!! All of the products we’ve been showing you for the past week are available for purchase so hop on over to the MFT store and get yours! I love how versatile LLD Bring on the Cake Die-namics is and I’m going to show you a few cards using it, along with a few other just released products.
My first card could be for Valentine’s Day or an anniversary. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and, with Diagonal Stripes Stencil, created some patterned paper using Wild Cherry ink and Pink Lemonade ink. Then, with Grid Stencil, I added some embossing paste and stamped the sentiment, from LLD Delicious Birthday with Steel Gray ink. I made the cake using Sweet Tooth card stock for the plate (inspired y Milk Glass), Pink Lemonade card stock for the cake, Sweet Tooth card stock for the icing swags, and Wild Cherry card stock and Pink Lemonade card stock for the hearts. The larger hearts were cut using LLD Cute Cameras 2 Die-namics and the smaller ones using Fluttering Hearts Die-namics. I finished it off with some sequins and clear gems.
Anther sentiment from the set and more hearts are on the inside.
*****
My second card is a wedding card.
I started with a Steel Gray card stock base, then added a panel of Sweet Tooth card stock stamped with MPD Damask Designs using Delicata silver ink. Then I created my LLD Bring on the Cake Die-namics confection, using Sweet Tooth card stock, silver metallic card stock, and silver mirror card stock for the cake stand. The little flowers and leaves were cut using Trellis and Vine Die-namics with silver beads for the centers.
A sentiment from LJD Together Forever was stamped on the inside with Steel Gray ink and I added a metallic silver Four Corners Die-namics accent under it.
*****
For my third card I decided to glam it up!
I started with a Razzle Berry card stock base, onto which I stamped Cheetah Background with Black Licorice hybrid ink. Then I trimmed a Sweet Tooth card stock panel and dry embossed it with Large Chevron Stripes stencil, then popped it up on foam on the base. I made my cake from some Sweet Tooth card stock stamped with Diagonal Stripes Background and Steel Gray ink, decorated it with some Razzle Berry card stock swags, and placed it on a Black Licorice card stock cake stand. The “40” was cut using LLD Magical Memories Die-namics from more of the Cheetah Background paper, made easier by also using 3D Foam Sheets. I cut the Ampersand Die-namics from metallic silver card stock and stamped the sentiment, from Simply Fabulous Sayings, on Black Licorice card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I popped that up on foam and finished off with some clear gems.
Another sentiment and more swags can be found on the inside.
*****
For my fourth and final card, I went with a Z fold card.
I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and stenciled on some Razzle Berry ink and Orange Fizz ink with Diagonal Stripes stencil onto what would normally be the inside of the card. Then I stamped Happy Birthday Background with Fuse Green ink, scored and folded the flap back. LLD Bring on the Cake Die-namics was made with a metallic silver cake stand, Sweet Tooth card stock cake, Orange Fizz card stock icing swag, and Razzle Berry frosting. I cut the lid from clear acetate card stock and arranged the cake on it before popping it up on foam
The outside sentiment from LLD Delicious Birthday, was stamped on a strip of Fuse Green card stock with Steel Gray ink and also popped up on foam. I added some enamel dots before stamping the sentiment on the inside with Fuse Green ink, strategically place to be covered by the cake when the card is closed.
And that’s it from me! I hope I’ve given you some ideas for using YOUR LLD Bring on the Cake Die-namics in some fun ways. Thanks so much for stopping by…and happy shopping!! And don’t forget that MFT will be giving away TWO $100 vouchers—to have a chance to win one, be sure to comment on each of the designers’ blogs by end of the day on Thursday, July 10th. The winners will be announced on the MFT Blog on the Release Rewind Day Two post on Friday, July 11th.
