There’s was never any doubt in my mind that I’d be doing a banner for this day :) First, I love banners, and second, MFT is making it so EASY this month with the new Die-namics Jumbo Banner Day dies, to say nothing of the new Die-namics By the Letter Uppercase dies!!! A match made in banner heaven! And what about the new Die-namics Mini Doily Circles dies? Yep, them too!
So, let’s get to it, shall we? First of all, I cut out the largest banner piece for my main layer from card stock, then the next size with my patterned paper. The next step was to reinforce on the back and punch my holes for tying the pennants together into a banner. Then I added the little scalloped strip, that is part of the die set, across the top and added buttons to match my patterned paper. See how the little scallops just BEG for buttons?
Next I made my rosettes with my Die-namics 1/4” Rosette die, added a Die-namics Mini Doily Circle die cut and my Die-namics By the Letter Uppercase die. You can’t see them here, but to reinforce the back of my rosettes, I cut a circle of scrap paper with my fabulous new Die-namics Circle STAX. At this point I tied all my pennants together with seam binding and then added embellishments. I put a couple of Die-namics Leafy Flourishes on each one.
Here’s the right side: For the “E”, I used a Die-namics Rolled Rose, along with a couple of the soon-to-be-released Die-namics Royal Leaves. The “A” has some of the darling little butterflies from Die-namics Butterflies, with some pearls for their bodies.
Here’s the center section. For the “S”, I added some Die-namics Mini Rolled Roses and more Die-namics Royal Leaves. The “T” has a Die-namics Pretty Posies flower.
For the left side, the “E” has part of Die-namics Prima Dona Petals flower and the “R” has a larger butterfly from Die-namics Butterflies.
Here you see my banner in use on a china cabinet. So sweet and Spring-y!!!
Here are the Die-namics dies I used on this project:
And that’s it for me! Hope you got a little inspiration here to make your own banner—they’re so much fun, and with MFT Die-namics dies, it’s so easy to be creative!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope to see you tonight at the release party for fun and prizes, and then shopping when the new release goes live at 10pm!
