MFT April Creative Challenge–Mother’s Day

Hi, everyone, it’s time again for the MFT Creative Challenge! This month the design team was challenged to make a Mother’s Day card or project. Nothing says Mother’s Day like MFT’s Clearly Sentimental About Mothers, so that’s what I used for today’s card.

This card reminds me of my mother: flowers, the stitching, pretty ribbon, and the music—she loved all of them. After I put my card base together, I added a Die-namics Dizzy Doily layer which has a circle of patterned paper made with my Die-namics Circle STAX. You can’t see it too well in the picture, but it’s peeking out :) I adhered my bling on top of that, then I added a Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX element with some music patterned paper. Then I added a seam binding bow with a twine-tied button and the sentiment, stamped on a Die-namics Layered Label die cut. Finally, I added a Die-namics Royal Rose and some Die-namics Royal Leaves to finish it off.

Here’s a close up of the rose. I love this rose die! And the leaves—perfection, I tell ya!
