Hi, everyone, it’s time for another Color Throwdown Challenge! This week my friend Jodi is our host and she has a super cheerful color palette for us to work with.
This is a pretty simple card, designed to give the stage to the new Etched Flower Background from MFT. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. On a panel of Ranger watercolor paper, I stamped the background with Versamark, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, did a watercolor wash with Daffodil dye ink, tied around some dark blue and white baker’s twine, and popped it up on the base with foam mounting tape and a strip of Blueberry card stock.
I stamped the sentiment, from LJD You’re the Sweetest, with Blueberry dye ink and added the “HAPPY” cut from Blueberry card stock and the just-released LLD Bottlecap Letters Die-namics. I LOVE the size of these letters and can see me using them a lot in the future. To finish off I added some enamel dots and was done!
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD358 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd358 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented September Guest Designer, Kelly Latevola!
