Hi, everyone, and welcome to this month’s MFT Design Team Creative Challenge! This month it’s all about the Gold Glitz!
From specialty papers and heat embossing, to luscious texture mediums and sequins...the addition of a hint of gold to your crafting is sure to inject some glitz and glamour into your projects. This month our team is going glam sharing shiny new projects that boast the most precious of crafting accents. Go for the gold with MFT!
I might have added a little more than a “hint” of gold, but I love how it turned out! I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Then, on a piece of Ranger Watercolor paper, I stamped Etched Flower Background with Versamark and heat embossed with gold detail embossing powder and did a watercolor wash with Jellybean Green dye ink, Orange Fizz dye ink, and Tangy Orange dye ink. I cut the edge with Stitched Basic Edges Die-namics, did the same to a piece of brushed gold card stock, layered them up with foam mounting tape and adhered the whole thing to the base. Next I stamped the sentiment, from Thanks So Very Much, on the base with Delicata gold pigment ink, added some enamel dots, and was done!
I love how the earthy Fall tones in the watercolor wash blend so nicely with the glitzy gold embossing and card stock. Thanks so much for stopping by today!! See you soon!
