Hey, there, welcome to this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge! Monika is our host this week and she never fails to throw unexpected and amazing color combos at us—I love this!!
Soooo, I was totally inspired by the scene and just went with it. I started with a Grout Gray card stock base, then cut an opening in some Sweet Tooth card stock with Circle STAX Set 1 Die-namics for my little scene. I sponged my background using After Midnight dye ink and Pure Plum dye ink then created my scene using Spooky House Die-namics. The moon was cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and the tree and bats from black glitter paper. I popped the front up on foam mounting tape, added the “boo”, cut with By the Letters Die-namics from Silver Sparkle card stock and popped them up on foam as well. The sentiment is from part of a sentiment from BB The Whole Herd and was stamped with Black Licorice dye ink. I finished off with a larger bat as accent.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD360 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd360 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented September Guest Designer, Kelly Latevola!
