Time to Splurge

The girls over at the MFT forum on Splitcoast are shaking things up a bit. Now, both weekly challenges (sketch and My Favorite Challenge, which is taking the place of the Who's That Girl challenge) will be posted on the same thread. Every Thursday a new thread will be started with the challenges, and this is where we meet and chat throughout the coming week. You can read all about it here. Today I'm showing you my card for this week's sketch challenge. Here's the sketch:

My base card is Very Vanilla with layers (gotta have layers!) of Basic Black, Pretty In Pink, and DP from the Sabrina 6 x 6 pad from Making Memories. The next element is more of the same. To follow the sketch, I added some 5/8" satin ribbon tabs accented with buttons from the Sabrina collection, tied on with Perle cotton and then popped the entire element up on 3M foam squares. The focal image, from the Girls Day In set was stamped on DP with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and totally paper pieced on top of the DP. The areas that were colored were stamped on a MFT Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markes (see below). It was matted with Pretty In Pink and Basic Black and is also up on foam squares. The sentiment was stamped on Very Vanilla with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut/embossed with a Nestabilities Label Four die, then popped up on some Prima flowers. Some black faceted jewels finish it off.

We hope you come on over to the forum, join in the challenges and chat with us. The challenges have prize money attached, so come on over and give them a try :)

I'm so glad you stopped by today!
