Best Mom Ever - Color Throwdown #90

Happy Hump Day, peeps! You know what that means--it's Color Throwdown day! Today, Miss Tammy has chosen our colors and I love 'em!

I'm using Taylor's Sketch for this week for the layout of this Mother's Day card. I wanted it to look like a Nine Patch quilt block and I think it worked.

I think the construction is pretty easy to follow. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things' Clearly Sentimental About Mothers and was stamped on DP with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, then cut/embossed with a Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio Two die. Then I added some tiny jewels that started life as clear jewels and were colored with a Copic marker. Some ribbon and buttons finish it off.

Here's the inside--sentiment from the same set:

Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD90 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!
