Batty About You–MFT August Release Countdown, Day Three

countdownday3_2014aug10

Happy Sunday, and welcome to Day Three of MFT’s August Release Countdown! I have a couple of cards again for you today—this is such a FUN release, I can’t stop stamping! Today we’re previewing Batty About You Die-namics, PI Batty About You stamp set, and Dripping Goo Edge Die-namics. Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details and don’t forget, release is on August 12th at 10pm.

I love this little bat girl!! Oh, MY, but she’s CUTE!! My card started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then I dry embossed another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock with Spider Web Cover-Up Die-namics. I LOVE how MFT Cover-Ups (and stencils) do double duty for dry embossing! I popped that up on foam on the base, then stamped my image with Black Licorice hybrid ink (MFT’s hybrid ink works fabulously with Copic markers) on X-Press It Blending Card cut with Batty About You Die-namics. I colored it with Copic markers then popped it up on foam. The sentiment was stamped on a strip of Sweet Tooth card stock then popped up on foam, as well. To finish it off, I added some purple sequins and some clear gems.

On the inside, I stamped another sentiment from PI Batty About You and added some bats, cut with Trick or Treat Die-namics from Black Licorice card stock. The eyes are clear gems colored with a Copic marker.

My second card uses some products you might have already seen during the Release Countdown but I couldn’t resist bringing them out again.

This card starts with a Kraft card stock base. The horizontal panel was made by stenciling Black Licorice ink on Kraft card stock with Small Checkerboard Stencil and layering with Black Licorice card stock. Three Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics were placed next: Orange Fizz card stock stamped with Cheesecloth Background and Black Licorice ink, Grape Jelly card stock stamped with LJD Darling Dots and Black Licorice ink, and Gumdrop Green card stock stamped with DC Large Scale Backgrounds and Sweet Tooth pigment ink. Next up is Sweet Tooth card stock cut with the new Stitchable Dot Circle STAX Die-namics with baker’s twine threaded through and tied in a bow, then layered on a Circle STAX Die-namics cut from Black Licorice card stock. The froggie, from Witch Way is the Candy? and Witch Way is the Candy? Die-namics, was cut from X-Press It Blending Card, stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink,and colored with Copic markers. It was popped up on foam, as was the sentiment from Witch Way is the Candy?, cut in pieces after it was stamped. This card is also for Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge—stop by the blog for details.

On the inside, I stamped another sentiment from Witch Way is the Candy? along with a trio of frogs.
