MFT September Release Rewind

releaserewind1_2014sep18

Hi, everyone! It’s time for this month’s Release Rewind! I love this feature since it gives the designers a great opportunity to use some products we might not have gotten around to using during the release or to delve deeper into some others. I’m really excited about this chance to be creative with the amazing new
MFT products that are available right HERE, right NOW in the MFT Boutique. To get all the details, be sure to stop by the MFT Blog.

My first card uses the new MSTN Cute Critters set. I started with a Kraft Card Stock base, then stamped up a piece of Primitive White Card Stock with Diamonds & Dots Border for an overall background (if you missed my video on lining the stamps up, you can see it on my original post, HERE) with Natural Ink. I stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink then I matted it with Black Licorice Card Stock and popped it up on the base.

Then, on a strip of Primitive White Card Stock, I stamped the acorn image three times with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I matted that element with Black Licorice Card Stock and popped it up on the card, finishing off with some black enamel hearts.

Another sentiment and a cute critter was stamped on the inside.

My second card uses an image from BB Class Act.

I started with a Sweet Tooth Card Stock base, then cut another piece of Sweet Tooth Card Stock with the new Proof Positive Cover-Up Die-namics. As I took it out of my die cutting machine, I wiggled it a bit and let some of the pieces fall out. I adhered everything that was left to a piece of Factory Green Card Stock, layered it with Black Licorice Card Stock, and popped it up on the base.

Then I made a tag, cut with Tag Builder Blueprints 1 Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock, added the reinforcement, cut from Safety Orange Card Stock, and the strip, stamped with Fine Check Background and Safety Orange Ink on Sweet Tooth Card Stock. I popped it up on foam and added the sentiment, stamped with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink on Black Licorice Card Stock and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Next I cut the little girlie from X-Press It Blending Card with BB Class Act Die-namics, stamped the image with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink, and colored it with Copic markers. I popped everything up on foam, added a hemp cord hanger and some enamel dots.
