Birthday Shaker–SSSC #227

SSSC277_2015jul12

Hey, everyone, it’s time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Karen has another classic design for us this week and we hope to see lots of you playing along with us.

SSSC277

I’m using a bunch of just released products from MFT for my card today. I started with a Grout Gray card stock base, then on a strip of Ranger watercolor paper I stamped Balloon Strings Background and did a water color wash with my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers, then splattered some dilute Black Licorice dye ink and some clear water for effect. I added a strip of Black Licorice card stock and a strip of silver foil card stock—although it all looks black in the photo—and built my shaker element. I REALLY tried to make this without a shaker element but I. could. not. do. it. LOL! Circles say shaker to me! Anyway, the shaker frame is also from silver foil card stock cut with Pierced Circle Frames Die-namics and filled with Pretty Pink Posh sequins. I added Brushstroke Birthday Greetings Die-namics, cut from Black Licorice card stock and Birthday Balloons Die-namics, cut from Lush Lagoon card stock, Sour Apple card stock, and Berrylicious card stock, tied with silver cord and popped up on foam.

And that’s it for this week’s Sweet Sunday Sketch! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon!
