Just a Note–CTD #304

CTD304_2014aug6

Hey, everyone, and welcome to this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Tammy has chosen some awesome colors based on her inspiration piece that features children on a playground. We’re dedicating this challenge to our teammate, Lori Tecler who is starting a new job as a kindergarten teacher. To you, Lori, you will rock that classroom!

swatch 304

My card started with a Whip Cream card stock base, then I added a strip of Primitive White card stock across the bottom on which I stamped the pencils from LLD Document It – School Days with Steel Gray ink, and at the top, Blu Raspberry card stock stamped with Typewriter Text Background, again with Steel Gray ink. I added a strip of silver glitter paper where they joined and then a Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics cut from Wild Cherry card stock and stamped with Grid Background.

Next I created my clipboard from
Kraft card stock with silver mirror paper for the clip part. On it a put a piece of Smoky Slate card stock cut with LLD Insert It – 3 x 4 Notepad Die-namics and a piece of Primitive White card stock stamped with Notebook Paper Background, stamped with Blu Raspberry ink and cut with Notebook Edge Die-namics. On that I stamped some images from LLD At the Office with Blu Raspberry ink, Wild Cherry ink, and Steel Gray ink, and added some stars cut with Sun, Moon, & Stars Die-namics from silver glitter paper and a darling paper clip cut from silver mirror paper with Office Supplies Die-namics.

On the inside, I added some
Primitive White card stock cut with LLD Insert It – 3 x 4 Notepad Die-namics and stamped with a sentiment from Clearly Sentimental About New Beginnings in Wild Cherry ink along with the Blu Raspberry circle from LLD At the Office.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the
Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD301 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our awesome August guest designer, Jodi Collins!
