Shake it up, baby! FTTC #62

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC62)! This week Dee Jackson is our challenge host! Dee is shaking things up a bit! Or, better yet, she is challenging us to shake things up! We are making shaker cards. Now, you can have a big shake or a little shake. You decide if your shaker is the focal point or the accent! We would love to see what you create! So, go get busy and "shake it" with us this week! Here is a wonderful
shaker card tutorial at SCS by Beate Johns to get you going!

As soon as I got this challenge I thought of this card. Almost everything popped into my head right then! How often does that happen? Almost never, LOL! Everything except the layout, which I found on Sunday: CPS 162. So, first I stamped the chair image from Beach Life on Classic White card stock with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, then I colored with my Prismacolor pencils. I love how I could make the blue and yellow meet without creating a green horizon :) then I went about making the "frame" and the shaker element, using Flourishes Crystal Clear card stock, Classic Rectangle Nestabilities, and a little play sand. The rest was easy--I know you're saying, "there she goes with those knots again". Well, yeah, I can't seem to do a nautical-themed card without my fave K & Co. Sea Glass paper or a sailor's knot, LOL! If you want to know how to tie these knots, I have a tutorial here.

Here's another view showing the sand moved:

I've been wanting to make a shaker card for a long time! Thanks, Dee, for making me take the plunge! It was fun!! Now, come along with me to see what my team mates are shakin'!

Thanks for stopping by today!
