Hey, there! It’s Wednesday noon so it must be time for this week’s MFTWSC! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
This card is also using this month’s MFT Color Palette Challenge colors.
Today I’m also sharing a video showing how I stenciled this background and also how I constructed today’s card. To view it, either click on the button below or you can watch in HD HERE on my YouTube channel.
Here’s a quick run-through of how I made this card, too. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, applied my colors through Small Chevron Stripes stencil with Red Hot dye ink, Berrylicious dye ink, Sour Apple dye ink, and Grout Gray dye ink on watercolor paper using a water brush. The next element was stamped on Sweet Tooth card stock using LJD Nordic Knits and Grout Gray ink. The sentiment was stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I added a Pierced Snowflakes Die-namics, cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and the mittens, from BB Cool Day, stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink and colored with Copic markers. They were stamped on a BB Cool Day Die-namics cut from X-Press It Blending Card and popped up on foam.
More LJD Nordic Knits on the inside stamped with Berrylicious dye ink and another sentiment from Cozy Greetings, stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink.
And that’s all for today! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you again soon!
