Stars and Stripes - Stamp Simply #146
July 02 - ssnotime146 - Star Light, Star Bright -- This week we will focus on incorporating stars into our projects -- patriotic stars; A+ Great Job! stars; twinkle, twinkle little stars -- ANY kind of stars you like. Use punched or die cut stars, stickers, star paper -- you get the idea. Just show us some fabulous stars this week!
Well, this close to July 4th, I had to use patriotic stars, of course!! This was an exceedingly fun card to make!! Pretty much every thing I used is PTI. I started with a PTI Kraft base and added a layer of Pure Poppy that I ran through my Cuttlebug with the Linen and Canvas Impression Plate. Then I printed off a copy of the Declaration of Independence, sized for my card, and added that with some twine tied around. Next, I stamped this old SU! flag image on Rustic White card stock and matted it with a Classic Inverted Circle Nestabilities die cut in Enchanted Evening. I stamped the stars in Enchanted Evening and Pure Poppy and cute them out (nope, I don't have this punch, either, LOL). Finally, I added buttons and twine and popped them up on dimensional foam. Pretty much everything was sponged with Distress Ink in Tea Dye, as well.
So, now it's your turn. Come along and play and take us up on the challenge--we'd love to see what you come up with. If you do, be sure to leave the link to your project on Sharon's blog using Mr. Linky. Please use the keyword ssnotime146 if you upload to a public forum. And don't forget to check out Sharon's fabulous sample and also the great designs from the Stamp Simply team and leave 'em some love! And, please welcome our July Guest Designer:
