May 14 - ssnotime139 - Sketch Challenge - Today Jenn Buck created our sketch to follow. Thank you SO much, Jenn! It's a fun one and I can't wait to see all the creations it inspires! Sketch challenges are my personal favorite, right after color!!!
Jenn gave us a rockin' sketch but I strayed away just a bit. You know, sometimes, that just happens ;-) I flipped the sketch and my top element should be longer, but I was determined to use these dies so it is what it is. Other than that, I love how it turned out, LOL! FINALLY pulled out my Cosmo Cricket Material Girl paper for this project. I think everything is obvious, construction wise. I stamped the spool of thread and the needle from PTI's Quilter's Sampler on a MFT Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored it with Copic markers. Then I cut them out and popped them up on Pop Dots and slivers of Pop Dots. A twill bow/button and the sentiment finished it off.
So, now it's your turn. Come along and play and take us up on the challenge--we'd love to see what you come up with. If you do, be sure to leave the link to your project on Sharon's blog using Mr. Linky. Please use the keyword ssnotime139 if you upload to a public forum. And don't forget to check out Sharon's fabulous sample and also the great designs from the Stamp Simply team and leave 'em some love!
